A Wonderful Choice Consultancy

A Wonderful Choice has been chosen on many occassions to provide consultancy to enable the achievement of business objectives through IT solutions. Indeed, the consultant Jon Elsom worked for Cap Gemini in various customer-facing roles for five years before setting up A Wonderful Choice. In the last few years he has had a number of consulting roles including:

Developing coding standards for a government Agency
Database capacity planning for internet estate agency start-up
Provide mentoring and consultancy for the development of UML skills for a client
Conducting a review of Enterprise Database Solutions for a nationwide government quango

The last role involved the production of a 100+ page report, presented to the National IS Board and detailed the organisation's current data holding and technology investment, looked at trends and new developments across technologies to satisfy the business' declared aims and objectives, produced a road map to enable the organisation to gradually go from their current position to the desired one and gave ball-park costs and timescales to achieve this. This report was universally recognised as being a blue-print for the organisation's development and, despite its hard messages and rigorous exposure of corporate weak points, the recommendations have been accepted and largely acted upon.
